1. Overview
On Friday, 25 September 2026, the Brave Impact team had the privilege of facilitating a transitional workshop for 180 Grade 9 learners at Wendani Primary School as they prepare to transition to Grade 10 and pursue the three pathways: STEM, Social Sciences, and Arts & Sports Science.
The workshop focused on identity, purpose, potential, spiritual growth, and future educational and career choices. The Brave Impact team comprised Patrick Mwanyasi, Bridgit Lanoi, Felistine Wanjiru, Bradnice, Ebrahim Odhiambo, and Raymond Olewe, who led the team.
We sincerely appreciate Teacher Victoria and the other teachers for their support, leadership, and cooperation.
2. Key Areas of Engagement
Through games, fun, interactive conversations, mentorship, reflection, and faith-based teaching, we engaged learners around the central question:
“Where are you from?”
Using creation as an illustration, we explored how fish come from and depend on water, trees come from and depend on the earth, while human beings come from God and ultimately depend on Him for life and purpose.
This opened conversations around identity, purpose, and the importance of reconnecting with God as our Creator and source.
We also challenged learners to recognize that each person is uniquely gifted and that potential extends beyond academic performance. They were encouraged to identify their strengths, talents, passions, and abilities and allow these to inform their future pathway, course, and career choices.
3. Gospel and Spiritual Impact
The workshop provided an opportunity to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and emphasize the importance of reconciliation with God.
100 learners responded to the Gospel and received Christ — 60 girls and 40 boys. They participated in a prayer of salvation, after which the team prayed for their spiritual growth, education, future choices, and lives.
We recognize that receiving Christ is the beginning of a journey of discipleship, highlighting the importance of sustainable structures within the school for continued spiritual growth.
4. Recommendation to the School
Brave Impact recommends that the school establish a Christian Union (CU), if one is not already active, or strengthen the existing structure where applicable.
A well-supported CU could provide a sustainable environment for Bible study, prayer, fellowship, Christian mentorship, character development, encouragement, and accountability.
Where the school's structures permit, a weekly one-hour CU session could particularly support learners who responded to the Gospel during the workshop and provide continuity beyond this single engagement.
5. Appreciation and Commitment
Brave Impact is deeply grateful to Wendani Primary School for the opportunity to serve these young people at such an important stage of their lives.
The energy, openness, and potential demonstrated by the learners reminded us of the importance of intentionally investing in the next generation.
We continue to pray for the learners, their families, teachers, and the leadership of Wendani Primary School, trusting that these young people will discover their identity and purpose, develop their potential, walk with God, and grow into responsible leaders who positively transform society.
BRAVE IMPACT
Empowering Youth. Developing Leaders. Transforming Communities.
Bravely impacting lives with love as we point them to Christ and purpose.
